Please can you tell me how many cases of financial fraud you have investigated in each of the last five financial or calendar years - whichever is appropriate. Please could you also state the amount of money involved in each case? Please could you also state in each case which health authority was allegedly defrauded?
I am looking for the total value of fraud, bribery and corruption identified by NHS Protect and Local Counter Fraud Specialists following the successful conclusion of investigations.
The total value of money recovered by NHS Protect and LCFSs following the successful conclusion of investigations in each of the past five years.
The total value of fraud, bribery and corruption identified in each NHS health authority following the successful conclusion of investigations in each of the past five years.

I can confirm that the NHS Counter Fraud Authority (NHSCFA) holds information falling within the description specified in your request. This information is stored both electronically and in paper files.
NHSCFA has undertaken initial searches for the information. To provide the information you requested would involve a search of both free text entries and paper files. Therefore, I estimate that the cost of complying with your request would exceed the appropriate limit of £450. The appropriate limit has been specified in The Freedom of Information and Data Protection (Appropriate Limit and Fees) Regulations 2004 and for non-central Government departments it is set at £450.
This represents the estimated cost of one person spending 18 hours in determining whether the Authority holds the information, and locating, retrieving and extracting the information. Under section 12 of the Freedom of Information Act the Authority is not obliged to comply with your request and I will not be processing your request further.
If you were to make a new request for a narrower category of information, it may be that we could comply with that request within the appropriate limit, although I cannot guarantee that this will be the case.
