I would like to request a FOI for a breakdown of recorded assaults on NHS staff between the period of 2016 to 2017 which would have previously been presented as part of the NHS Protect website.
NHSCFA response
I am writing to advise you that the security management remit for NHS Counter Fraud Authority (NHSCFA) (previously NHS Protect) ended on 31st March 2017 and following a search of our records I have established that data for recorded assaults on NHS staff for the period 2016-2017 is not held by NHSCFA. Data for reported physical assaults for previous years can be found here, on the National Archive website.
It is possible that the information for the period 2016-17 may be held by the individual Trusts and I would suggest that you make a similar request for information to each Trust.
