NHSCFA response

I attach copies of presentations delivered at the NHS Counter Fraud Authority (NHSCFA) staff conference held on 19th and 20th March 2018. Some of this information has been withheld as it falls under Section 22 and Section 31(1) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000. In applying the exemptions we have had to balance the public interest in withholding the information against the public interest in disclosing the information.

The total cost of holding the conference is recorded in the table attached.

The equalities monitoring data for members of the management team and Board is recorded in the table attached.

All gender and ethnicity information will be included within the NHSCFA 2018 Annual Report. The information will be published on the NHSCFA website following audit and board sign off as part of the annual accounting process.

This information is therefore being withheld as it falls under the exemption in section 22(1) of the Freedom of Information Act. In applying this exemption we have had to balance the public interest in withholding the information against the public interest in disclosing the information.

The attached annex to this letter sets out the exemptions in full, as well as the factors the Authority considered when deciding that in all the circumstances of the case, the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information.
