Request regarding Claims relating to dispensing and enhanced services.

With reference to 2021015 ‘Please could you tell me how many of the reports for fraud were converted into cases, and how many of those investigations led to a civil sanction?

How many of the 256 inappropriate claims relating to dispensing and enhanced services (which includes inappropriate claims relating to the pandemic delivery service, 256) were converted into cases and how many of those investigations led to a civil sanction.

NHSCFA response

  • 26 of the 309 reports have so far been converted into cases. 2 reports concerned the same issue and therefore are recorded as 1 case.

    None of the investigations have, at this stage led to civil sanctions. 7 of the 25 cases have a status of ‘closed’ and 18 remain ‘open’.

  • 20 of the 256 reports have so far, been converted into cases. 2 reports concerned the same issue and therefore are recorded as 1 case.

    None of the investigations, at this stage have led to civil sanctions. 4 of the 19 cases have a status of ‘closed’ and 15 remain ‘open’.
