‘How many reports / referrals did you receive for each NHS Trust in the 2023 calendar year? Could these be broken down by the month received, type of fraud reported, action taken by you and outcome please.’

The information is attached. Please note the following in respect of the information:
- The information is extracted from all NHS Counter Fraud Authority reporting systems. This includes the on-line reporting system (FCROL) and information reported and recorded on case management systems by Local Counter Fraud Specialists.
- Some Trusts may have changed name or merged during 2023. The Trust name recorded is the appropriate name at the time of reporting.
- Tab 1 – the total number of reports received relating to each Trust
- Tab 2 – reports received per taxonomy category.
- Tab 3 – action taken.
- Tab 4 – investigation outcome. Investigations may still be on going or be subject to further enquiry prior to conversion to an investigation.
