Four of NHSCFA’s entries to the Tackling Economic Crime Awards have reached the finals, as well as an entry from the Public Sector Counter Fraud Journal editorial board, which NHSCFA’s Nationals Operations Manager Mick Hayes is a member of.
Recognising outstanding contributions in tackling all areas of economic crime, the Tackling Economic Crime Awards (TECAs) showcase the very best organisations, teams, individuals and initiatives in the sector.
Professor Martin Gill, founder of the TECAs, has just announced the finalists on their website: https://thetecas.com/2020/10/15/the-finalists-of-the-2020-tackling-economic-crime-awards-tecas-have-been-announced/
Winners will be announced at a virtual awards ceremony to be streamed live on Wednesday 9 December 2020.
NHSCFA’s CEO Sue Frith is delighted: “This is a proud moment for NHSCFA, supplying so many of the finalists. We also had the honour of providing an awards judge, Professor Carl Stychin, one of our former Non-Executive Directors and the Director of the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies (IALS) at the University of London. My thanks to all involved, and fingers crossed!”
Professor Stychin oversaw the establishment of the new Centre for Financial Law, Regulation and Compliance and was one among a very eminent panel of expert judges.
Professor Gill describes the very strong field this year as an “overwhelming response” and a hard job for the judges. “All those that have been selected as finalists should feel very honoured.”
