The NHSCFA’s 2021/2022 Annual Report and Accounts, has been presented to Parliament and is now available at Gov.UK website NHS Counter Fraud Authority annual report and accounts 2021 to 2022 - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk).

This year’s Annual Report and Accounts provides a detailed look at the organisation’s performance and use of resources up to the end of the financial year, a year in which operations were still heavily influenced by the COVID-19 pandemic and the significant direct and indirect impacts of that epoch.

The document sets out how the NHSCFA as an organisation, in conjunction with its fraud fighting partners and stakeholders within NHS Trusts and across the wider anti-fraud community, performed in respect of the strategic objectives and financial and non-financial targets.

It also demonstrates how the organisation:

  • was held to account
  • managed risk
  • disbursed the budget

“It has been a challenging period, but I would like to thank all our people for their considerable efforts and achievements in another exacting year. We continue to provide value for money for the taxpayer and I am confident this will continue, as we develop our Strategy for the next three years.”
