Many organisations are planning initiatives to mark the occasion, and for some it may fall within a longer fraud awareness month.

Everyone has a role to play in fighting fraud, not just during IFAW, but all year round. Our aim at the NHSCFA is to highlight how to:

  • spot fraud
  • report fraud
  • stop fraud - both prevention and enforcement

Alex Rothwell, CEO of NHSCFA said, “As agreed at our recent meeting of the 4 Nations the NHS belongs to the people. Our role within that is to ensure that vital resources intended for patient care are protected against fraud. International Fraud Awareness week provides an opportunity for us to deliver that message to our colleagues, stakeholders, and the public. By preventing fraud, we can ensure that the NHS remains available to everyone and continues to deliver high quality care.”
