Tricia joined the NHS Counter Fraud Authority as Director of Performance and Improvement in June 2020.
Born and raised in Warwickshire, Tricia has a strong connection to that area although she has lived and worked across the country during her career.
She studied Policy Making and Administration at Birmingham University and some years later returned to the city to study for her MBA in Public Service Management at Aston University.
After 26 years in local government Tricia decided to embrace a new direction in public service and moved into the National Health Service as Deputy Director of Strategy and Business Development at The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust where she also had responsibility for leading on the trust wide business and activity planning processes and the delivery of the Cost Improvement Programme After a year in the role, Covid-19 hit the country all corporate resources were redirected to support the covid effort in whatever way was needed, she describes it as a challenging but extremely uplifting time to support colleagues in the clinical areas.
She applied for the role with the NHSCFA in 2020 as she believed that her experience in planning, strategy and transformation could be put to good use within the organisation.

I am passionate about working with people, getting them engaged and valuing their individual strengths and contributions. Together we can all make a big difference.”
Began her career as a graduate trainee accountant at Coventry City Council and after three years but moved to Leeds City Council as a Service Development Officer
A short stint back at Coventry City Council in the Treasurers Dept followed as a Performance Review Officer before moving to Shropshire County Council where she undertook a variety of roles culminating in the Head of Performance and Scrutiny
Fourteen years followed at Warwickshire County Council which started with heading up the Scrutiny Function to Assistant Director for Performance and IT Services before the move to The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust Deputy Director of Strategy and Business Development
Four years into the role, she was a finalist in the Female Pioneer of the Year Award at the Public Sector Counter Fraud Awards 2024 and is part of the second cohort for the Government Counter Fraud Profession - Counter Fraud Leadership Programme.
Tricia enjoys walking, has recently taken up running and in her household a range of football clubs are supported but she remains a committed Aston Villa supporter. She has recently become a school governor at a secondary school in her hometown.
She has two sons aged 19 and 22.
